Complete termination of the Sangley airport project pushed

PAMALAKAYA said they “welcome” the cancellation of the project, which would be funded by the China Construction & Communications Corporation (CCCC), a Chinese firm engaged in environmental destruction through large-scale reclamation in the South China Sea. Seized-Chinese dredger should be punished to the full force of the law – fishers’ group

“This was not the first time, and definitely not the only Chinese dredging vessel to operate in our coastal waters. Local fishers have been lamenting the decrease of fish catch due to rampant dredging operations in the provinces of Zambales and Bataan. This operation harms the marine life through excavation of seabed and movement of solid particles, noise pollution, and blurring of water that drive away the fish,” Bobby Roldan, PAMALAKAYA Vice Chair for Luzon said in a statement sent to media outfits.

It deserves a strong condemnation and defiance not only from the Filipino people but also from the people of the claimant countries of the South China Sea,” Salvador France, Secretary General of PAMALAKAYA said during the protest.

We fervently condemn China’s egregious display of aggression and military might,” Fernando Hicap, PAMALAKAYA National Chairperson said in a statement.
