A militant fishers’ group @pama_pil warned that a joint patrol between the United States and the Philippines in the West Philippine Sea could escalate tensions in Philippine waters. All the more reason to shutdown this ill-conceived project that cost us hundreds of millions.

The DENR should acknowledge that this beach nourishment is a farce and an ultimate failure, and eventually investigate its former officials who were part of this costly undertaking.

NEWS: According to PAMALAKAYA, there are approximately 50 reclamation projects in different parts of Manila Bay, which make up for at least 30,000 hectares of fishing grounds.
