West Philippine Sea still abundant in fisheries, fishers’ group rebuts

“There are many fish in the West Philippine Sea, the Philippine government just doesn’t want to take care of those. It is estimated that the potential annual yield for Panatag Shoal alone is about 5, 000 metric tons. Fishers ask production subsidy to cater community pantries, local food security

“As much as we want to continue replenishing community pantries with fresh fish, it seems unfeasible unless the government provides us with production subsidy to pump-prime our fishing production.
